LISD Board of Trustees Election LIBERTY, May 13, 2013 - An interesting situation has developed in the LISD Board of Trustees Election. Election Day was Saturday and at the end of the days polling the results of the election are as follows according to Linda Iller of Liberty ISD.
There were two positions up for election and there were three candidates from which to choose. Lloyd Pierce was easily elected but there was a tie vote for the other position. According to the Liberty ISD website, “The votes will most likely be canvassed at a May 16th Special Board Meeting. If the outcome is still a tie, there will be an automatic recount of the votes. If there is no change in the count for the two candidates, there will be a “Second Election.”
