Liberty County Genealogical Society Announces Workshop
LIBERTY, January 22, 2012 - The Liberty County Genealogical Society is pleased to announce it will present a workshop on Saturday, February 18th, 2012. Two of southeast Texas' most respected genealogists will conduct the workshop. Linda Jamison and Nancy Brandli will present and discuss topics for both the beginning genealogist and the experienced researcher. Presentations will include "Introduction to Genealogy," "Thinking Outside the Box," "Finding Civil War Ancestors On-line," and "Newspaper Archives: Opening Windows to Your Ancestors."
Nancy Brandli is the founding President of Liberty County Genealogical Society, past Regent for Libertad Chapter NSDAR, past President of the Women's Club and a member of the TSDAR Speaker's Staff.
Linda Jamison is past President of Liberty County Genealogical Society, Vice-Chairman of the Liberty County Historical Commission, Regent for Libertad Chapter NSDAR, Correspondent Docent for the DAR Museum on Washington, D.C. and past President of the Franklin Hardin Chapter, Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
The workshop will be held at St. Stephens Episcopal Church Meeting Room, 2041 Trinity Avenue, Liberty, Texas, beginning at 9:00 a.m. concluding at 3:00 p.m. Cost of the workshop is $25.
