She is a longtime resident of Liberty County. She has made Dayton home for her and her 12 year old daughter. In her career she has held multiple management positions as well as owned and operated Accessories Etc., her screen printing and embroidery business. Having been on the membership side of the chamber has allowed Elizabeth to see membership from both views. She feels this is a real benefit in her new role as Executive Director. She has served on several boards including the Dayton Housing Authority, where is currently the Chairman of the board, and served on the Liberty-Dayton Chamber of Commerce in the past. She stated that she has learned that that, in order to move forward, it’s about relationship building, Chambers don’t do anything by themselves-they do it in partnership with the City of Dayton, Liberty County, and other key groups. Elizabeth feels what she does best is working with people and bringing people together to create a common vision, and to move forward with that vision. The Chamber and the Board are looking for a long term relationship with Elizabeth and look for lots of new ideas in the future.
