Liberty Man Drowns in Swimming Pool

LIBERTY, January 27, 2012 - Shortly after 3:00 PM on Friday the City of Liberty Police Department responded to a report of a possible drowning at 114 Valley Drive in the Forest Hills Subdivision in Liberty.

City of Liberty Police Department responded with patrol officers and investigators to investigate the incident.

A City of Liberty Ambulance responded as well.

First reports indicate that Thomas Gleason James, Jr. age 28 of Liberty died as the result of an accidental drowning in an above ground pool in the back yard of the home where he lived with his parents.

He was discovered missing by family members who had been looking for him for some time in the pool.

Justice of the Peace Cody Parrish conducted an inquest at the scene and ordered an autopsy.

The investigation into this drowning is ongoing and being conducted by the City of Liberty Police Department.
