Have You Gotten a Post Card from the CAD? LIBERTY, January 23, 2012 - A few days ago this reporter received in the mail a post card from the Liberty County Central Appraisal District questioning me about the homestead exception status of a piece of property on Washington Street in Liberty. I was confused in that I’ve never owned property on Washington Street of any kind or claimed a homestead exception on the property address in question. I didn't know what to do about this but decided I would question the central appraisal district about it in the next few days when I could get around to it. However, I don’t think that will be necessary because of a FEEDBACK REPLY I received by e-mail early Monday morning that explained the situation and may in fact clear up confusion that you may have had about this situation particularly since you may have received such a post card yourself. The FEEDBACK writer explains it this way. All of you dumb hard headed idiots complaining about Rick Perry when you should be complaining about the dumb people in Liberty County. The Liberty County Central Appraisal District had a post card Printed And Mailed to every Property Tax Paying Owner in Liberty County . And Guess What ?Every one Of The Post Cards Had the wrong information on it. I called The Appraisal District Office and the person that answered the phone was nice and polite She said , “Don’t Worry about It ,they were printed wrong and we will Print And Send new ones To Every PROPERTY TAX PAYER from Liberty County NEXT WEEK “. Could This Waste THIS Close To Home Be Counted As Public Employees Wasting Your Tax Dollars Again ? Or Maybe I Should Say “As Usual .”
