Thursday Before Christmas

LIBERTY, December 22, 2011 – Things began winding down for the Christmas Holiday in Liberty on Thursday afternoon. Shortly after nightfall there were a lot of people visiting convenience stores, restaurants and watering holes. The parking lot of our local Wal-Mart was almost filled to capacity shortly after dark and when that many people gather all in one place strange things happen. The City of Liberty Police Department report that a juvenile shopper at the crowded Wal-Mart filled with people started a fire inside the store by setting a package of diapers ablaze early Thursday night.
