Volunteers Needed for February 28th, PINK Fight Night
LIBERTY, January 9, 2012 - The Liberty County Health Awareness Coalition is planning a fun night where women and men of all ages can come access local health care provider services offered in and around the county and to learn how to protect yourself and your loved ones from Breast and Cervical Cancer.
PINK “Fight Night” will be on Tuesday, February 28th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Liberty Center located at 1829 Sam Houston, Liberty, TX 77575. Pink “Fight Night” is where you and your friends can come and fight for your health and take the necessary precautions against cancer! Many of us know someone who has experienced cancer and we will learn how to FIGHT it! More details to come!
Texas AgriLife Extension Liberty County Agent, Alexis Cordova, is seeking volunteers to help out February 28th, 2012 with monitoring and assisting at the refreshment, registration, and information tables, offer one-on-one support if you or someone close to you has had to deal with cancer recovery, or assist prior to the event with spreading the word or printed flyers to churches and local establishments. Please contact Alexis at 936-334-3230 or come by and visit the Extension Office at their new location on the Hill at 501 Palmer Avenue in Liberty located under the south water tower off Navigation Street. It is FREE to volunteer and ALL volunteers will receive a free PINK t-shirt!
