Devers Man Killed in Major Accident

LIBERTY, January 28, 2011 - DPS reports now confirm that it was Kenneth Edward Turicchi, a security guard, age 69 of Devers, TX that was killed in a major accident on SH 146 yesterday shortly before 5:00 PM in Liberty just north of FM 2830.

According to reports the 2000 GMC Pickup the Devers man was driving was southbound on SH 146 and drifted into the northbound lane where it was struck by a northbound 18-wheeler.

The driver of the 18-wheeler, Dolvin Alonzo Upshaw of Cushing, TX was not seriously injured.

Justice of the Peace Bobby Rader conducted the inquest.
