Woman Hit at Wal-Mart LIBERTY, April 16, 2010 - Friday afternoon a woman coming out of the West entrance to Wal-Mart near the Garden Center was struck by a pickup truck.
According to City of Liberty Police Officers Wal-Mart Greeter, Melba Raney age 62 of Liberty was exiting the store pushing a shopping basket when, Mike Williams age 54 was dropping his wife off near the entrance of the store. After Williams’ wife got out of their vehicle he backed into a handicapped space and struck Raney with the tail end of his truck.
City of Liberty EMS responded to the scene and transported Raney to Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center. Luckily, according to Police, her injuries were not serious.
After reviewing the videotape from the store, Officers determine there was no reckless driving, no laws were broken and no citations were issued. |
