MONT BELVIEU, February 16, 2010 - Mr. Larry Mosby, Southwest Region Director of Pop Warner Football, Cheer/Dance, will be at the Barbers Hill Middle School Auditorium, Saturday, March 6, 2010 (1:00 - 3:00 pm),

Mr. Mosby will be introducing, as well as, answer questions concerning the Pop Warner Football, Cheer and Dance programs, for boys and girls age 5 – 15.
Heading into their 77th year, Pop Warner Little Scholars is the oldest national, non-profit, youth football and cheerleading organization in the world. Today there are over 130 leagues and over 380,000 participants.

The NFL Players Association estimates that between 60% and 70% of all NFL players began their career playing Pop Warner Football.

The Southwest Region is one of (8) eight Pop Warner Regions in the country. The Southwest Region presently has approximately 550 teams of different divisions and 15 Leagues. The Southwest Region, host (3) three major activities each year. They are; the Regional Football Championships, the Regional Cheer/Dance Competition and the Regional Little Scholars Banquet.

Each year the Regional Champions in each division of Football and Cheer/Dance, advance to compete in the Pop Warner National Championship Games and Cheer/Dance Competition, in Orlando, Florida at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex.

Pop Warner Little Scholars is the only national youth sports organization in America that awards its participants for their outstanding performance in the classroom. Each year, the most academically accomplished Pop Warner kids compete for Academic All-American status, and are rewarded on several different levels (i.e. National, Regional, League, etc).
