Jeep Rolls Over in Hardin

HARDIN, March 17, 2010 - Shortly before 10:00 AM on Wednesday a roll over accident occurred on FM 834 E about 4 miles east of SH 146 in Hardin.

The Hardin Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to provide traffic control and Liberty County EMS responded to care for the injured.

According to DPS Trooper Cory Davis a Jeep Laredo was traveling west on FM 834 when it ran off the road, overcorrected and went into a skid. The vehicle came to rest on its top in the ditch on the north side of the roadway.

The driver of the Jeep was Dorothy King age 42 and her passenger was her daughter Amber King age 9.

Luckily all the occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts keeping injuries to a minimum.

Dorothy King suffered minor injuries and was transported to Liberty Dayton Hospital for treatment.

According to Trooper Davis, King will be issued a citation for Failure to Control Speed.
