Phone Service at Hospital Disconnected LIBERTY, February 9, 2010 – Early this afternoon residents of Liberty began calling i-dineout.com to ask if we knew anything about the telephone service at Liberty Dayton Community Hospital being disconnected. We did not. However we looked up the phone number for the Hospital in the phone book at tried to call. We received a telephone company recording telling us that, “The number we were calling had been disconnected or was no longer in service.” We reached Hospital District Board Member, Paul Henry, to ask him what the trouble was with the telephone service at the Hospital. Henry called i-dineout.com from the hospital where he had gone to help resolve the issue and told us that the problem involved a dispute between the previous owners of the Hospital and the phone company over the phone bill. Since the Hospital District took over the Hospital its bills have been paid, according to Henry. As of 3:10 PM on Tuesday afternoon phone service to the Hospital had yet to be restored. Hospital District Board Chairman, Bruce Stratton told i-dineout.com at 3:38 PM Tuesday that phone service to the Hospital would be restored shortly. |
