Franklin Hardin Chapter Donates Flag To Library

LIBERTY, April 23, 2010 - The Franklin Hardin Chapter, Daughters of the Republic of Texas donated a Texas State Flag which has been flown over the Alamo to the Liberty Municipal Library.

Chapter President Linda Jamison and President General Patti Atkins officially presented the large 5’X8’ flag to the library on April 21st which is San Jacinto Day and commemorates the historic battle which avenged the Alamo and led to Texas independence from Mexico and the establishment of the Republic of Texas and eventually annexation into the United States.
