Accident on Wallisville Road Friday Night

LIBERTY, January 23, 2010 - Around 11:00 PM on Friday a roll over accident occurred on Wallisville Road just north of the TVE Fairgrounds that caused a power outage in the neighborhood.

According to Jennifer Bowles a silver Toyota was traveling north on Wallisville Road when it left the roadway, struck a culvert and went airborne. The vehicle then collided with the utility pole and rolled about three times before coming to rest.

City of Liberty EMS responded to the scene. However the driver sustained only very minor injuries in the accident and was not transported to the hospital.

The driver was identified as Christopher Brown age 22 of Devers. Speed was the major contributing factor in the accident.

According to Bowles the driver received a citation for Failure to Control Speed.
