Lake Houston Youth Birders

HUFFMAN, March 22, 2010 - Interested in the fastest-growing outdoor activity in America?

 Come join the “Lake Houston Youth Birders.”

 You will gain the knowledge and confidence to recognize and identify birds by sight and sound. 

We will plan field trips to view birds in their natural habitats.



What to bring: 
Your enthusiasm and interest, 
Binoculars – preferably 7 x 35 or 8 x 42 (generally found on
 The focus knob) 



Location: May Community Center, 
2100 Wolf Road, Huffman, TX 77336



Dates: Second and Fourth Tuesdays of the Month starting May 11th, 2010

 Time: 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. 

Ages: 11 years to 18 years, Harris County Precinct 4 policy requires that an adult must accompany children under the age of 18 at the Center at all times.

Lake Houston Youth Birders is a youth birding group from, but not limited to, NE Harris, Western Liberty and SE Montgomery County. In our pursuit to become the best birders that we can be, we will adhere to the American Birding Association Code of Ethics. Our pursuit of knowledge and understanding will take us from the classroom to the field. We will strive to promote birding* through education of our members and the general community.
