Liberty County Republican Party To Conduct Primary Run-Off Election
LIBERTY, March 15, 2010 - The Liberty County Republican Party will conduct a run-off election on Tuesday, April 13, 2010. There are five (5) contested races to be decided that day:
Justice, Texas Supreme Court, Place 3, between Debra Lehrmann and Rick Green;
County Judge, between Craig McNair and Steve E. Stephens;
County Commissioner, Precinct 2, between Marcus Travis Brand and Charlotte Key Warner;
Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4, between Barry Graves and Larry Wilburn; and
Justice of the Peace, Precinct 5, between Wade Brown and David C. Martin.
Early voting will begin on Monday, April 5, and continue through Friday, April 9. There will be early voting at the Liberty County Courthouse, Dayton Courthouse Annex, Cleveland Courthouse Annex, and Hardin Community Center.
On election day the polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Due to historically lower voter turn-out there will only be 13 voting precincts in the county instead of the usual 31 precincts. Therefore, voters are encouraged to vote early. As a reminder, only those who voted in the March 2 Republican primary election or those who did not vote on March 2 will be allowed to vote in the run-off election on April 13.
