Missing Man Found

WESTLAKE, January 9, 2010 – The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office assisted by Westlake Firefighters found the body of James “Jimbo” West this morning in Timberlake after family members reported that he did not return home last night.

West was in a small boat checking trotlines and was last seen around 6:00 PM yesterday.

His capsized boat was found this morning on the lake and reported to authorities.

The search for the man was very short as he was discovered in the water after a brief search of the area near the capsized boat.

Justice of the Peace Bobby Rader conducted the inquest on the scene and ordered an autopsy be performed at the Jefferson County Medical Examiners Office in Beaumont.

West leaves behind two small children.
