Accident on SH 105

TARKINGTON, February 18, 2010 – Around 3:30 on Thursday afternoon, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to a report of a vehicle accident on SH105 at CR2233. Initial reports indicated that at least one person was still trapped in their vehicle. However, Tarkington VFD Assistant Chief Dalton Lee Gregory arrived on scene to find two vehicles in the ditch, one towing a horse trailer. All occupants of the vehicles and the trailer were uninjured.

Tarkington VFD stayed on scene while Texas DPS troopers finished their investigation of the accident. Apparently, the white Dodge with the horse trailer was slowing to make a right turn onto CR2233 when the gray Ford attempted to pass on the shoulder.
