Mounted Sheriff's Posse Presents SpiritHorse of Liberty LIBERTY, April 23, 2010 - There will be a RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY on April 24, 2010 from 12:00 to 6:00 PM at 50 PR 138, Liberty, TX. Approximately 8 miles south of Liberty off of HWY 563 The mission of SpiritHorse is to Assist Each Person With Special Needs To Reach Their Full Potential Through Interaction With Horses. The organization provides Therapeutic individualized horseback riding lessons. SpiritHorse serves children with autism, downs syndrome, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, hearing and vision impairments, brain damage, at-risk students, and recovering veterans. SpiritHorse began in 2002 in Corinth, TX. The Corinth, TX location serves over 300 clients per week. The organization now has 22 locations. SpiritHorse provides, free of charge, highly effective private equine-assisted therapeutic riding lessons. Each lesson includes horse management as part of the curriculum, which promotes responsibly and ownership.
