More Information Comes to Light after DWI Arrest LIBERTY, August 11, 2010 - Martina K. Sellers, arrested for DWI yesterday, August 10, 2010 in Liberty, is currently under indictment for Injury to a Child.
This information arose from audience members when i-dineout.com published the story about her DWI arrest on Monday. Documents obtained from the District Clerk’s Office in the Liberty County Courthouse state that Sellers was indicted for Injury to a Child. The indictment handed down by a Grand Jury alleges that on October 20, 2005, Sellers did intentionally or knowingly cause serious bodily injury to Brook Glynn Nugent, her child, by shaking and/or striking the child causing Brook to strike a wall and/or bed and/or object the exact nature and description of which is unknown to the Grand Jury. The indictment goes on to say that Sellers failed to obtain medical care for the child, which was her legal duty. Sources close to the investigation told i-dineout.com that the child survived this incident but lived in what amounted to a persistent vegetative state for more than two years before finally succumbing to her injuries and died. Sellers is currently free on bond awaiting trail and prosecution by the District Attorney’s Office. Mondays’ arrest of Sellers represents her second arrest for DWI. See related story...
