Fatal Crash on FM 787

CLEVELAND, April 28, 2010 - DPS Trooper David Schmidt reports that at 8:02 AM on Tuesday a motorist traveling east on FM 787 saw a vehicle go off the road in his rear view mirror and notified authorities.

According to Schmidt a silver 2008 Nissan 350 Z traveling westbound straightened out a curve near FM 2518 leaving the roadway and crashing killing the driver who was the only occupant of the vehicle.

There were no brake marks or swerve marks on the roadway leading investigators to believe that the driver may have fallen asleep or had other health related issues.

Justice of the Peace Joe McAnally conducted an inquest and pronounced the driver, Judith Bailey age 55 of Cleveland dead at the scene and ordered an autopsy by performed.
