Bodies Found in Rye

RYE, July 21, 2010 - The Liberty County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a possible murder/suicide that occurred at a residence in the Hoop and Holler Subdivision in Rye, north Liberty County Texas.

According to Steve Green with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department, a woman who had not heard from her mother, received a call that her mother had not showed up for work.

The daughter then went to the residence in Hoop & Holler and found her mother and her mother's husband dead with a gun lying by the husband's side.

The bodies of the two were discovered around 10:30 AM on Monday.

The names of the victims were have not been released by the Department.
