Another Robbery at Whataburger CLEVELAND, August 16, 2010 - The Cleveland Police Department is investigating another early morning robbery at the Whataburger restaurant located at 808 S. Hwy. 59. This past weekend marked the second time Whataburger has suffered an armed robbery in less than two weeks. CPD officers were dispatched to Cleveland’s Whataburger on Sunday morning August 15, 2010 around 5:08 a.m. reference to a subject who barged into the restaurant with a gun demanding money. The suspect went behind the counter and told one of the employees to lie on the floor and demanded another to open the cash register. The deviant grabbed the money from cash drawer and ran out a side door of the business. Fortunately no one was injured. Although part of his face covered he was described as a white male, sandy blonde hair, grayish color eyes, chubby face with freckles, approximately 20 years of age, 5 feet – 5 inches tall, and 190 - 195 pounds. Suspect was wearing a red & white t-shirt, blue jean shorts, black and white Jordan high top tennis shoes and a red baseball cap with possibly a “Houston Astros” logo on the front. The bandit was armed with what witnesses said to be a silver in color large caliber semi-automatic pistol with brown wood grain handgrips.
