School District Employee Found Dead DAISETTA, May 13, 2010 - The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office was called to the Riley residence in Daisetta at 4:48 PM on Wednesday afternoon to investigate the death of Cathy Riley who was found hanging in a tool shed by her husband according to Captain Steve Green of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department. Riley was 59 years old and a long time employee of the Hull Daisetta ISD. Justice of the Peace Ronnie Davis conducted an inquest and ordered an autopsy be performed at the Jefferson County Medical Examiners Office in Beaumont. The preliminary cause of death is death due to asphyxia in this apparent hanging. Foul play is not expected in this incident and Riley’s injuries appear to be self-inflicted.
