Results of Republican Primary Run-Off Election

LIBERTY, April 13, 2010 – The results of the Republican Primary Run-Off Election were in by 9:19 PM on Tuesday evening at the Liberty County Courthouse.

In the race for County Judge, Craig McNair was victorious over Dayton Mayor Steve Stephens. McNair garnered 1309 votes to Stephens’ 1026 votes representing 56.1% of the total vote in this race.

In the race for County Commissioner, Precinct No. 2, Charlotte Warner received 69.6% of the vote over Marcus Brand. Warner had 449 votes to Brand’s 196 votes.

In the race for Justice of the Peace Precinct No. 4 in Dayton, Larry Wilburn lost by only 7 votes against Barry Graves who garnered 541 votes to Wilburn’s 534.

In the race for Justice of the Peace Precinct No. 5 Wade Brown was victorious with 136 to David Martin’s 121 votes.

This election was necessary to determine who would be on the General Election Ballot in November as the Republican Candidates for Office.
