Power Outage in Liberty LIBERTY, August 11, 2010 - Parts of the City of Liberty experienced a power outage Wednesday morning around 9:15 AM. The outage lasted for about 15 minutes during which time computers and machinery ground to a halt. According to Liberty City Manager, Gary Broz this power outage, affected Feeder No. 5, included areas on the west side of Liberty from Downtown all the way north and included areas of Travis Park. Broz stated that City Personnel were walking the Feeder line in an attempt to located the cause of the outage and had found where a tree limb had broken off. However, at the present time the exact cause of the outage was underdetermined and could have been caused by a tree limb or varmints.
