Accident on FM 563

LIBERTY, December 24, 2010 - A one-vehicle accident occurred on FM 563 near the old Sulphur Plant south of Liberty around 8:41 AM on Christmas Eve.

The Hull Daisetta Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene to manage traffic control and assist Liberty County EMS caring for the driver who was injured in the accident.

Little is known as to the cause of the accident or how the accident occurred.

The female driver and only occupant of the vehicle was treated at the scene by EMS personnel but was not transported to the hospital. Apparently her injuries were minor.

The vehicle appeared to have rolled over at least once scattering the contents of the vehicle on the shoulder of the highway.

After being administered a Field Sobriety Test the driver was taken into custody by the investigating DPS Trooper.

The Chevy Blazer was registered to Natalie Scott of Port Arthur, TX according to Public Data.

The roadway was closed in both directions for about an hour during the investigation and clean up of this accident.
