Amarantine Photography & Art Studio Holds Ribbon Cutting

LIBERTY, July 29, 2010 - Amarantine Photography & Art Studio held it's grand opening and ribbon cutting at the beginning of this past month, debuting itself with a colorful array of artwork and unique photographs.

Jessica Baze, owner and operator of this studio, has maintained a passion and adament practice of the arts for the past six years, earning herself recognition, awards, and due credits from Oklahoma City University, which is notorious for it's extensive support and elaborate programs in the visual arts.

She has brought her talent and vision to our area, and is eager to serve any photographic or artistic needs within our community. She paints murals, some of which can be seen at a few local restaurants, and specializes in mixed media portraits. Amarantine Photography & Art Studio is located at 623 North Main Street, in the Burt Hayes building.

The studio boasts several specialty sets, and Jessica is currently expecting fall and winter holiday sets this September. Outdoor photography and special events packages are available at extraordinarily affordable rates, with a satisfaction guarantee.

Jessica said, "You know, I often get people asking me where I got the word 'Amarantine' from. Amarantine comes from the Greek word αμάραντος or amarantos, translated to English. According to Greek mythology, Amarantos was a flower hidden by the gods. The person who finds it, will become immortal. Since then, the term has come to describe something that is unfading, or everlasting. This describes my work perfectly, as I create that which is captured and preserved perfectly as a keepsake. My work is timeless, ageless... Amarantine."
