Pest Managment Program for Home Gardeners LIBERTY, April 1, 2010 - The Texas AgriLife Extension Service and the Liberty County Master Gardener Association is please to present a Pest Management Program for Home Gardeners on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. The program will be held at the Liberty County Courthouse Annex at 2103 Cos Street in Liberty. Ron Holcomb, County Extension Agent for Liberty County, will talk about integrated pest management and its principles. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on a combination of common-sense practices. IPM programs use current, comprehensive information on the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. This information is used to manage pest damage by the most economical means, and with the least possible hazard to people, property and the environment. Anyone planning to attend this program is requested to RSVP to the Extension Office at 936-336-4558, ext. 221 or 281-593-0405, ext.221 by close of business day the day before the program so we will have enough educational materials on hand. THIS IS NOT A CEU PROGRAM FOR TDA LICENSE HOLDERS.
