Who Decides Outcome of School Bond Election EDITORIAL LIBERTY, October 23, 2010 – Last May only 800 voters determined the outcome in the Liberty ISD School Bond Election. The details of the Bond Election calls for spending millions of taxpayer dollars and in this election voter turnout doesn’t seem that it will be much greater. It is truly unfortunate that only a handful of voters will be responsible for this very important decision. Early voting in the School Bond Election is half over as of the close of business Friday only 315 people had voted. Since on election day, voters will be able to vote at their normal polling place in the November 2, 2010 General Election, turn out may be a little higher than it was in May. But this is an important decision that voters are being asked to make. Please vote. Don’t let a handful of other people determine the future for us all. See Related Story...
