Three Vehicle Accident on US 90 Liberty LIBERTY, November 11, 2010 - An accident involving two passengers cars and an 18-Wheeler occurred on US 90 near the My Little Kitchen Restaurant on US 90 in Liberty around 8:00 AM Wednesday.
According to Officer Josh Cummins of the City of Liberty Police Department a red Mustang was traveling in the far right eastbound lane of US 90 and attempted a lane change colliding with a gray Ford Taurus.
Both the Taurus and the Mustang lost control and traveled across all the lanes of US 90. The Taurus took down the stop sign and MLK and US 90 and the Mustang collided with a westbound 18-Wheeler.
The Mustang was driven by Robert Wilson, Jr. age 32 of Dayton and the Taurus was driven by Shawn Semien age 19 of Beaumont. The driver of the 18-Wheeler was Oscar Salay age 50 of San Antonio.
Only the driver of the Mustang sustained injuries in the accident. He was transported to Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center by private vehicle. According to Officer Cummins, all vehicles were insured and Robert Wilson, Jr. received a citation for Unsafe Lane Change. The westbound lanes of US 90 were closed for about two hours to clean up the debris from the accident and have a heavy duty wrecker tow the 18-Wheeler from the scene. Wilson is employed with B J Ford in Liberty.
