Democrats Canvas Primary Elections and MORE!

LIBERTY, March 11, 2010 – Thursday evening at a meeting of the Democratic Party Precinct Chairs, the Democratic Primary Election was canvassed. Nancy Archer, Democratic Party Chairman called out the results of each race on the ballot and the vote totals were reviewed and approved.

Local radio personality, Bill Buchanan and reporter Tiffany York came to the meeting to question Archer and others about whether or not Ken Morrison is a resident of Liberty County in preparation for an upcoming report.

In speaking to County Judge Candidate Ken Morrison Buchanan stated, “All we’re trying to do is prove that you’re a legal resident of Liberty County and the hard, fast provable evidence is that you are not.”

Nancy Archer stated to Buchanana, “You can accept my answer and if you don’t want to accept it you can. If you want to pursue whether or not Mr. Morrison is a resident then your only option is to sue Mr. Morrison… He is a legal resident of Liberty County.”

In speaking about whether or not Morrison is a legal candidate to run for office Buchanan stated, “The evidence is that he is not.”

In adddition to being a radio personality Buchanan appears to be practicing law at the present time.
