Man Arrested for Indecency with a Child

LIBERTY, June 12, 2010 - Liberty Police were summoned to the 2700 block of Cos Street around 6:00 PM on Thursday.

According to Officer Hugh Bishop the grandmother living at the residence called police to report that another family member had walked in on an eight year old female who was partially disrobed with Joseph Montoya touching her.

Police investigated and took Joseph Montoya age 26 of Liberty into custody charging him with Indecency with a Child.

Justice of the Peace Bobby Rader set bond for Montoya at $100,000. At the present time Montoya remains in the Liberty County Jail.

Montoya was arrested on May 8, 2010 for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon at a residence on Grand Ave late in the night.
