Pickup Crashes into Auto Dealership DAYTON, October 9, 2010 - Around 3:25 AM Friday, Dayton Police were called by an employee at Union Pacific telling them that a bloody man was standing outside their office.
The man was Ronald Hooks of Baytown, Tx who stated he had no ideal how he got there or what had happened.
He also told the officer he had left a beer joint in Mt. Belvieu. Apparently Mr. Hooks was turned around ending up in Dayton. He was taken to Liberty Dayton Hospital by EMS.
Around 4:00am the Office Manager of Trinity Valley Motors got a call from Dayton Police Department asking them to come down to their office in Dayton located at 109 Hwy 146. Officer Holder with the Dayton Police Department had located Hooks' vehicle an 07 Chevy Pickup that had crashed into the front line of vehicles at the dealership damaging 8 of the cars.
He hit so hard that the stop sign flew across the parking lot hitting 2 trucks and landed close to the garage.
Lee's wrecker service towed Mr. Hooks vehicle to his storage lot.
Because Mr. Hooks left the scene of the accident and their were no witnesses Police were unable to place him at the scene as the driver. Therefore Mr. Hooks was NOT giving any citations. He was insured by Farm Bureau County Mutual.
