Shooting in Dayton Friday Morning

DAYTON, September 17, 2010 - At 4:14 a.m., on Friday, September 17th, the Dayton Police Department was called to a shooting at 8850 SH 321 in Dayton. When Officer Kole Holden arrived, he found a woman with what appeared to be gun shot wounds in her hand and shoulder in a pickup truck near the roadway. An ambulance was called for the woman and other Officers from the Dayton Police Department, Liberty Police Department and Liberty County Sheriff’s Department began to arrive on scene shortly afterwards.

The victim, who gave her name as Zitlily Tentory, talked to the Investigators but at this time it could not be determined if the shooting was accidental or not and she was transported by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she is expected to survive her injuries.

At this time Investigators are looking for another person that was in the home at the time of the shooting, continuing to collect evidence as well as statements from neighbors.
