Accident on FM 160

AMES, September 27, 2010 - Liberty County EMS responded to the scene of a one-vehicle accident in front of the CC Club on FM 160 North around 10:40 PM on Sunday night.

According to investigating DPS Trooper David Schmidt and vehicle was traveling south on FM 160 in a curve when it left the roadway to the right, crashed into a culvert, took down some poles and crashed into a tree.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

Trooper Schmidt’s investigation revealed that the driver was not wearing a seat belt and possibly suffered injuries in the accident.

Additionally evidence gathered at the scene and inside the vehicle suggests that unsafe speed and alcohol were possible factors that contributed to the accident.

According to public data the 1994 Pontiac is registered to Lorenzo Judie of Houston, TX.
