Two-Vehicle Accident in Liberty

LIBERTY, June 26, 2010 - A two-vehicle accident occurred on US 90 at Bowie Street in Liberty around 11:00 AM on Saturday morning that sent a female driver to the hospital by ambulance.

According to Officer Brandon Wakefield of the City of Liberty Police Department, a white Dodge Ram Pickup was traveling westbound on US 90 as a Toyota Avalon traveling south on Bowie Street, attempted a left turn onto US 90.

The vehicle collided and according to Officer Wakefield there were no witnesses to the accident.

City of Liberty Ambulance responded to the scene and transported the driver of the Toyota, identified as Lucete Scott Johnson age 77 of Liberty to Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the Dodge Ram Pickup, identified as Jacob A. Huff age 16 of Hardin was not injured.

According to Officer Wakefield there are no citations in the accident at the present time and both vehicles were insured.
