Home Invasion in Liberty

LIBERTY, December 28, 2010 - The Liberty Police Department is investigating a Burglary With Intent to Commit a Felony that happened at a residence in the 600 block of Fannin St.

Liberty Police received a 911 call at approximately 2:19 am from Ashley Jackson age 27 of Liberty, TX. Jackson reported a physical disturbance in progress. When the officers arrived on scene, they noticed that the front door had been broken in and they could hear a male subject yelling inside the residence.

The officers identified the male subject as Henry Dugat age 36 of Houston, TX. The officers detained Dugat and located Jackson who was laying on the floor. Jackson had injuries to her face and head. Jackson was treated by Liberty EMS and was transported to a Houston hospital by Life Flight.

During the investigation the officers learned that Dugat did not reside with Jackson and was not a family member of Jackson. Dugat was arrested for Burglary With Intent to Commit a Felony.

Justice of the Peace Pct. 6 Peggy Dunn set a $50,000 bond on Henry Dugat.
