Historical Commission to Hold Annual Meeting


LIBERTY, February 12, 2010 - The Liberty County Historical Commission will hold their annual meeting on Sunday, February 28 at 2 p.m. at the fellowship hall of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Liberty. All members of the commission are encouraged to attend.

Members will be considering a number of possible topics for future historical marker projects, discussing historical cemeteries in the county, and setting priorities for the year. Commission Chair Kevin Ladd will make a short presentation on Dr. Henry Wise Farley, the first county judge of Liberty County, who was also an early mayor of Liberty.
