Hardin Ex-Students Association to Hold Reception on Sept. 10

HARDIN, August 21, 2010 - The Hardin Ex-Students Association will hold a post-game reception and general membership meeting on Friday, September 10 after the Homecoming Game between the Hardin Hornets and the West Hardin Oilers. The reception will be held in the Hardin High School Library and is open to any former students of the Hardin schoolsr.

The group is pursuing a number of different projects including securing a tax-exempt non-profit corporation status, gathering addresses and other contact information on all former students, planning a fundraising effort, and securing a site on campus for historical displays and artifacts. The association has been in existence for many years and provides an annual scholarship to a graduating senior.

The organization has recently set annual membership dues at $25. There are also three other membership categories: Hornet Membership Level, $250; Blue Membership Level, $500; and Gold Membership Level [a lifetime membership] at $1,000. Memberships can be mailed to PO Box 280, Hardin, TX 77561. Members will receive an Ex-Students Association t-shirt. Please include your t-shirt size with your check.

The group will meet on Monday, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. at the Hardin Community and Senior Citizens Center to finalize plans on the post-game reception and meeting. Anyone who is interested is welcome and invited to attend the meetings.
