Reserve Deputy Places Cleveland Family in Harms Way CLEVELAND, February 4, 2010 - According to Steve Green with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department, on Monday evening around 6:00 PM an incident occurred on South Holly Street in Cleveland involving a Reserve Deputy Sheriff acting in a Undercover capacity with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department. According to Green, the Reserve Deputy, while in plain clothes in an unmarked pickup truck belonging to the Sheriff’s Department observed a man commit a minor traffic offense. The Reserve Deputy was Patrick Globus of 884 County Road 3704 B, Splendora, TX, according to Motor Vehicle records. Globus followed the man home. The man had his wife and four children with him in his vehicle. With the man and his wife not knowing who Globus was and with no way to identify him, Globus pulled his gun on the man, placing the man, his wife and children in jeopardy. The man’s wife frantically called 911 for assistance and was directed to the Cleveland Police Department who responded to the address on South Holly Street in Cleveland. Cleveland Officers notified the on call supervisor with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department of the incident and according to Steve Green, Sgt. Michelle Dishotel was dispatched to investigate the incident. According to Green, Globus turned in his badge and identification card and the incident is under investigation. The entire incident raises a host of questions that have yet to be answered.
