Republicans Prevail in General Election

LIBERTY, November 3, 2010 - In local races all Democratic candidates lost to Republican challengers except for Justice of the Peace, Precinct No. 6, Democrat Peggy Dunn who won her race with an good majority.

All of the Five LISD School Bond Propositions failed to win the confidence of the voters.

The General Election was largely a mandate on the national political climate which gave local Democratic Candidates little chance of prevailing.
