Major Accident FM 563

LIBERTY, December 4, 2010 – A major accident occurred on FM 563 at CR 130 that sent the driver of one vehicle to San Jacinto Methodist Hospital by ambulance around 9:00 AM on Saturday.

According to DPS Trooper Abraham Martinez a Ford Pickup traveling east on CR 130 failed to yield the right of way at the intersection of FM 563 and was struck broad side by a south bound Chevy pickup.

The driver of the Ford pickup was Dusty Licon age 38 of Tatum, TX and the driver of the Chevy pickup was Simon Cantu, Jr. age 19 of Baytown, TX.

It was Custy Licon the driver of the Ford that was transported by Liberty County EMS to San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown for treatment of his injuries.

According to Trooper Martinez both vehicles were insured and Dusty Licon will receive a citation for Failure to Yield Right of Way and a Suspended Driver’s License.
