July Exit level TAKS re-test

DAYTON, July 7, 2010 - Current and former Dayton High school or Dayton Night School Academy students needing to pass TAKS to receive their diploma may re-take the tests they need July 13-16 at Dayton High School. Testers should bring photo ID and two #2 pencils (sharpened) each day they are testing. Students who have been out of school for more than 1 year should call 936-258-2510 before Monday July 12 so that test materials can be acquired for them.

Tutorials to prepare for the test will be offered on Thursday July 8 from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM for English/Language Arts; on Monday July 12 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM for science, and on Monday July 12 from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM for math. Check in with the front office for room locations for tutorial sessions. Tutorials are open to both current and out-of-school students.

TAKS tests must be administered according to the calendar set by the Texas Education Agency and cannot be changed. The schedule for the July Exit level re-test is as follows:

Tuesday July 13 – English/Language Arts
Wednesday July 14 – Math
Thursday July 15 – Science
Friday July 16 – Social Studies
**Doors will open at 7:45 AM each morning and testing will begin promptly at 8:00.
