Monthly Luncheon

The Dayton Chamber of Commerce Monthly Luncheon will be Tuesday January 4th at 12 PM. January’s guest speaker will be Ron Borski a Labor Market Analyst with HGAC Workforce Solutions.
Ron Borski’s topic will be A Labor Market Update.
The caterer will be B’s Place.

Ballot Box in Dayton Chamber Lobby
The Dayton Chamber of Commerce now has a ballot box in the lobby to submit nominations for Business of the Year or Volunteer of the Year. Nominations can still be submitted by fax 936-257-2394 or email eellis@daytontxchamber.com. Voting ends January 11, 2011.

10th Annual Banquet

The Dayton Chamber of Commerce will hold their 10th Annual Banquet on January 28, 2011 at 6:30 pm featuring Congressman Ted Poe as the night’s speaker. The event will be held at the Dayton Community Center banquet room. The Dayton Chamber will present awards for Business of the Year-Industry, Business of the Year- Small Business, Volunteer of the Year, Dayton Rotarian of the Year, Dayton Lion of the Year, Police Officer of the Year, and Firefighter of the Year. You can purchase your tickets at the Dayton Chamber office. Tickets are $35 per person or a reserved table with your company name for $400. The banquet is open to anyone from the community to attend and is not limited to Chamber members.

Awards for Annual Banquet

The Dayton Chamber of Commerce would like you to place your vote today for the Business of the Year Award to be given at our 2011 Annual Banquet. The two categories are Industry-Business of the Year
and Small Business-Business of the Year.
If you know of a business that participates in charitable acts, vote for them. Do you know of a business that provides a significant number of jobs relative to the size of the community in which it is located? Do you know a business that sponsors a team on a cancer or heart walk? Is there a company that matches employee contributions or do they offer a scholarship? Do you know of a business that partners with other businesses or groups to host an event that is beneficial to our community? VOTE FOR THEM!
The Dayton Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award was created to highlight and celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of a local business that makes an impact on the Dayton Community. Please place your vote today for the Business of the Year Award to be given at our Annual 2011 Banquet.

There are no ballots just submit the name of the business or volunteer, category and a line or two of information of why you think they should be nominated. The deadline for your submissions is January 11, 2011.
The Dayton Chamber of Commerce would also like your vote for Volunteer of the Year in the Dayton area. Volunteers are a benefit to the community, neighborhood, group, church or non-profit they serve in, as a result we would like to honor a volunteer for their service.
Please nominate a volunteer that is an active volunteer in the Dayton area. The volunteer could be nominated based on their initiative, sustained commitment to the organization(s) they serve, impact they have had as a volunteer, or their innovation or exemplary approach to their volunteer service.
