Mr. Chambers held chapter members’ attention by developing a historical timeline of events in history that led to the settlement by the French near present-day Liberty, Texas and what historians know as Champ d’Asile. A short business meeting was also held with the main discussion centering on the scholarship to be presented to a graduating, college bound high school student in May. The scholarship will be in the amount of $2500.00 and information and application forms are being distributed to high schools in the county.
