Libertad Chapter to Celebrate Constitution Week LIBERTY, September 9, 2010 - The Libertad Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will host their annual Constitution Week Luncheon at Magnolia Ridge Country Club on Saturday, September 18th at 11:30 a.m. Members and guests will gather to commemorate the 223rd anniversary of the signing of this great document. The U. S. Constitution is the oldest constitution still in active use in the world today and is the basic document of our republic, which protects the individual liberties of all citizens through written law.
The program will include music, history of Constitution Week, a gourmet luncheon and a historice program presented by Eric Sandifer of Baytown, Texas. Eric and his wife, Glenda are familiar faces in this area and are members of many lineage societies including the Major John White Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution and the Goose Creek Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution respectively. In addition to numerous other lineage societies and community service organizations, both are members of the Saint Bartholomew Chapter of the Huguenot Society of Texas, Incorporated, and the First Texas Company of the National Jamestowne Society.
