Hit & Run Accident Takes Life of Cleveland Woman CLEVELAND, July 26, 2010 - Early Saturday morning, July 24, 2010, just after1:30 a.m. the Cleveland Police Department received a 911 emergency call from a citizen advising there was a female in the ditch just west of 1725 on SH 105. Caller stated looked like the victim had been struck by a vehicle. When officers arrived it was evident the victim was deceased and the scene revealed it had been an auto/pedestrian accident. The victim was identified as Katie Moore of Cleveland. Moore had been reportedly arguing with her husband when she decided to go for a walk down SH 105. After a phone call from Moore asking her husband to come pick her up was when she was struck by a vehicle. Moore’s husband found her minutes later in the ditch after seeing her possessions along the roadway. He then flagged down a passerby to call 911. There were no witnesses or suspects at the time of accident, but later Saturday morning the Cleveland Police Department did have a subject come forward. The accident is under investigation and information will be released as investigation permits.
