Tarkington Car Fire

TARKINGTON, August 30, 2010 - Around 1:30 on Sunday afternoon, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to a report of a vehicle on fire on CR2174 off of FM787. TVFD responded with Engine 52 and Engine 51 to find the car fully involved and threatening a nearby storage shed. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire and prevent its spread.

The car was a total loss and Liberty County Fire Marshal Jim Wilson was called to investigate.
