Barn and Travel Trailer Burn Tuesday Night

LIBERTY, March 10, 2010 - Liberty Firefighters responded to a fire on Oil Field Road about a mile south of US 90 around 10:30 PM on Tuesday.

According to Fire Chief Fred Collins a 12 foot travel trailer and a 24 by 30 foot barn were fully involved in flames upon arrival of the department.

Water had to be shuttled from a fire hydrant to fight the blaze. Fire fighters had to come through a locked gate to get to the fire.

Electricity to the barn had been disconnected a few months ago.

The property is thought to be owned by Buster Campbell of Liberty.

The barn and trailer were both destroyed.
